Trust Hire Recruitment are recruiting for one of our esteemed clients who are looking for someone to lead their Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) team, based in their Head office in Loughborough with travel the services.





This role requires you to be the lead contact, you will be the cornerstone for enhancing IPC knowledge and practices, particularly among health and social care workers. This prominent position will see you at the forefront of implementing strategies in community settings and taking charge of the development and compliance of the IPC Delivery Plan.
The role demands a professional with the ability to navigate highly complex issues across various situations and settings. A robust understanding of clinical governance systems, including risk management and safeguarding, is essential.





This infection Prevention and Control lead position is based in Lough with great links to the M1so is very commutable from Leicester, Nottingham, and Derby.





As the Infection Prevention and Control lead, your tasks and duties will include:




  • Interpreting research and guidance through critical analysis skills and applying your knowledge to improve IPC standards.

  • Your adeptness at data analysis will support the collection and interpretation of surveillance data,

  • while your proficiency in report writing will ensure effective communication to meetings, boards, partners, and more.

  • Policy writing, implementation, and evaluation skills are key, alongside programme development abilities.

  • The role requires a professional with exceptional communication skills, capable of engaging with all levels within the Group, as well as external stakeholders.

  • Your IT literacy should span a range of applications, and your ability to manage tight deadlines, prioritise workloads, and produce high-quality work is paramount.

  • Independent working, team collaboration, self-motivation, and minimal supervision are the hallmarks of your work ethic.

  • Leadership skills and clinical experience within a healthcare setting are indispensable.





For this Infection Prevention and Control lead position, the ideal candidate will ideally have these skills and experiences:




  • Desirable attributes include a post-registration qualification in IPC, specialist knowledge gained through experience or specialist training, and skills in training and education.

  • Experience in leading and managing teams, project management, and working with external colleagues to implement IPC strategies will set you apart.

  • Experience with infection control audit tools is vital, as is the capacity to deliver presentations and write comprehensive report
