Job Description Import Clerk -Hybrid- Freight Forwarder (Sea Freight and Air Freight)

Progressive Freight Forwarder looking to add an Import Clerk to their team, busy, exciting working environment promoting development and progression!

Package
Basic Salary 32k - 40k (dependent on experience)
Bonus paid 2x annually
37.5 hours per week
Monday to Friday 0900-1730hrs
Paid overtime
25 days holiday plus bank holidays

Job Description
The position would be a complete start to finish role, to include but not limited to:
Arranging import shipments from worldwide origins.
Arranging collections with selected transport companies.
Liaising with clients and other branches,sales departments, hauliers, etc.
Providing excellent customer service to import customers.
Handling order traces, checking BOLs, AWBs, commercial invoices, processing pre-alerts from overseas offices.
Good negotiating skills.
An in-depth customs knowledge and the ability to complete import customs entries
Experience at communicating with shipping lines, airlines and transport companies.
