Job Title: Import & Export Customs Coordinator
The Import Export Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring the smooth movement of goods between the UK and the EU, maintaining compliance with post-Brexit customs regulations. The role will focus on accurate documentation, stakeholder coordination, and continuous process improvement to support both internal and external teams.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and submit import declarations and IPAFFS entries within agreed SLAs, ensuring 100% accuracy.
Maintain and manage data within the e-customs clearance platform to ensure viability and compliance.
Keep import trackers accurate and up to date.
Manage the import audit report and support the preparation of annual broker audits for trade compliance.
Liaise with key stakeholders including customs platforms, veterinary authorities, factories, planning, credit control, and supply chain teams.
Ensure customer orders are checked, received, and processed accurately and on time.
Confirm all export documentation complies with the regulatory requirements of the destination country.
Skills & Experience Required
Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
Effective multitasking and time management skills.
Familiarity with import/export regulations and documentation (e.g., declarations, health certificates, veterinary documentation) – preferred but not essential.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team.
Goal-oriented with a proactive, collaborative approach.
This is a hybrid role where you'll be expected to be in the office 2-3 times a week (2 days one week and then 3 days the following).
The salary banding is from £30,000 - £35,000 + bonus and benefits.
