Leading the People Team, this role encompasses talent acquisition, learning and development (L&D), succession planning, employee relations (ER), payroll, diversity and inclusion (D&I), benefits, wellbeing and maintaining our B Corp certification standards. The HR Director will play a crucial role in fostering a positive and inclusive work environment while aligning HR initiatives with the company’s strategic goals.How will I make a difference? People Strategy:Develop and implement short, mid, and long-term HR strategies that align with Lily's Kitchen's business objectives, force for good responsibilities and social & environmental commitments.Provide strategic HR leadership and guidance to the leadership team and department heads.Monitor and analyse HR metrics to inform strategic decisions and continuous improvement, with full ownership around MOGE (People) budget.Develop and implement best practice policies and procedures aligned with Lily’s Kitchen values, B Corp principles and integrity.Ambassador of Lily’s Kitchen B Corp principles and force for good ways of working.Talent Acquisition:Oversee recruitment process to attract, hire, and retain top talent.Implement innovative recruitment strategies to build a diverse and talented workforce.Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.Engagement & Wellbeing:Support the structure for transparent internal communication mechanisms.Manage pay and benefits programme.Go to person for individual and team level support and wellbeing, ensuring guidance and mechanisms are in place enabling a people and wellbeing focused work environment.Review and support team engagement.Learning and Development (L&D):Design and implement comprehensive L&D programs to support employee growth and career development.Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development.Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make improvements as necessary.Performance & Succession Planning:Encourages high performing teams. Sets clear guidelines and expectations for performance including clarity on what ‘successful’ looks like (behaviours and within role related deliverables) and the process to support performance development.Develop and maintain robust succession plans to ensure leadership continuity and talent readiness.Identify and nurture high-potential employees for future leadership roles.Employee Relations (ER):Manage employee relations issues with a focus on positive outcomes and compliance with employment laws.Foster a supportive and inclusive workplace culture.Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on ER matters.Payroll:Oversee payroll processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely payments.Collaborate with the finance department to maintain financial integrity in payroll operations.Compliance:Ensure HR practices comply with all applicable laws and regulations.Develop and enforce policies related to anti-corruption, anti-bribery, and ethical conduct.Monitor compliance with workplace safety standards and practices.Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to company policies and legal requirements.Stay updated on changes in labour laws and regulations and implement necessary adjustments.Diversity and Inclusion (D&I):Lead D&I initiatives to promote a diverse and inclusive workplace.Develop and implement programs to raise awareness and drive inclusivity within the organization.Monitor and report on D&I metrics to track progress and inform future initiatives.Force for Good / B Corp Certification:Ensure HR practices align with B Corp standards and contribute to maintaining certification.Promote sustainability and ethical practices within HR operations.How will I contribute to the team?Generalist HR experience within in a leadership role, managing the full employee life cycleA commercial, critical thinker with complex budget management experienceProven experience in developing and executing HR strategies in a dynamic and growing companyAgile and experience in business transformation, demonstration a strong ability to develop the organisation and people in line with the evolution of the businessStrong HR generalist with extensive knowledge of talent acquisition, L&D, succession planning, ER, payroll, and D&IAble to evolve people skills through effective talent mapping, succession planning, empowerment and developmentA motivating, supportive and effective team manager, managing teams of at least 4 people at varying levels of responsibility. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skillsExtremely high emotional intelligence, being able to read a room and offer unbiased, critical reasoning and decision makingStrong ability to multitask in a high-pressure, challenger brand environment.Collaborative approach with the ability to influence and collaborate across all functional teams and external stakeholders, at all levelsStrong external network within the HR community and facilitatorsExperience of working in a B Corp business is hugely desirable, ideally within the consumer industry. Experience of leading the B Corp certification/assessment process itself and leading sustainability initiatives is a plus.An appetite for a challenge, with a hardworking, tenacious attitude, ability to multi-task and prioritize and the passion, drive and desire to win.Honest, transparent, fair and reliable approach, trusted to ensure a duty of care in respect to team wellbeing and legal, corporate compliance.
