Hours per Week: 22.5
Working Pattern: 3 days a week – Monday, Thursday and Friday but can be flexible
Expected Length of Contract: 5 - 6 months with potential to extend
Salary Details: £13.71 per hour paye plus hol pay or £17.50 umbrella
BDS Recruitment are looking for a Support Worker to work with veterans and others who have been homeless or facing homelessness.
The successful candidate will provide a holistic and positive approach to solution focussed support.
Your workload will be around 5 to 8 customers at any one time, which will give you the time and capacity to provide a high quality service. You will be a part of a larger team, who support people with complex needs in the Honiton area.
As a Support Worker, you will be working closely with other agencies around specific needs including mental health, substance misuse, benefits, private letting agents and landlords and/or others and exploring options around education, training and employment. You will need to write, review and update support plans and risk assessments and take a positive approach towards risk management.
Experience in a similar role would be desirable, however what is most important is having a passion for helping people in the local community. A current enhanced DBS check will be required.
