A knowledgeable and engaging History Teacher is required for a permanent full-time position at a well-regarded Independent school in Haringey, commencing in September. Responsibilities
* You will plan and deliver engaging History lessons that bring the past to life, fostering curiosity and a deep understanding of historical events and their significance.
* The role involves expertly guiding students through diverse historical periods and interpretations, following a well-structured and enriching curriculum.
* You will cultivate a dynamic and inclusive classroom environment where students feel empowered to explore historical sources, engage in thoughtful discussions, and develop their analytical skills.
* You will assess and monitor student progress with care, providing constructive feedback that encourages their historical understanding and analytical abilities.
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in History is essential.
* Experience teaching engaging and effective History lessons at Key Stages 3 and 4 is highly desirable.
* A deep and current understanding of British and world history, coupled with the ability to make the subject relevant and engaging, is expected.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, alongside strong classroom management, are vital.
