HGV Technician

Driver Hire Southampton is excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for an HGV Technician, open to both experienced and newly qualified individuals. We're looking for a hands-on professional with a strong safety-first mindset, a keen eye for detail, and a drive to build a long-term career.

What's on Offer:

• Temp-to-Perm role - with permanent employment after 12 weeks
• Working Hours:
• Mon-Thurs: 08:00-16:30
• Fri: 08:00-16:00
• Key Responsibilities:
• Servicing, maintenance, and repair of HGVs
• Ensuring all work is carried out to high safety and quality standards

Requirements:

• Qualification: NVQ Level 3 or equivalent (apprenticeship-trained applicants welcome)
• Licence: HGV or D1 (Minibus) licence preferred, but not essential
• Transport: Own transport is essential for commuting
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Understanding of manual handling and heavy lifting procedures
• Commitment to health and safety practices
