HGV Class 1 Drivers

MS587 - HGV Class 1 Driver 
Salary: £42,000 per annum
Location: Truro
Overview: First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a HGV Class 1 Driver on behalf of one of our clients.
Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.
Duties and Responsibilities:

• Safely operate Class 1 (C+E) HGV vehicles for nationwide deliveries and collections
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any faults or maintenance needs
• Ensure secure loading, unloading, and safe transportation of goods
• Adhere to all DVSA regulations, tachograph laws, and working time directive
• Maintain accurate delivery records, paperwork, and logbooks
• Plan routes efficiently and adapt to traffic or road conditions

Skills and Qualifications:

• Have previous HGV Class 1 experience
• Be dynamic and have a professional approach
• Demonstrate a commitment to developing you own knowledge and abilities
• Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Have exceptional organisational skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure
• Be a strong team player
• Be agile and adapt to changing business needs
