Trunking - Depot to Depot
Day Pay Rates - £19.83 per hour increasing to £22.22 per hour after 12 weeks
Night Pay Rates - £23.80 per hour increasing to £26.67 per hour after 12 weeks
6th Day Pay Rates - £39.67 per hour increasing to £44.45 per hour
Overtime available after 12 weeks service
Minimum 6 hour shifts guaranteed - average shift length is 8 to 10 hours
You must be available to work every Friday and Sunday with rest hours taken during the week.
Minimum 12 months HGV Class 1 experience required
UK Registered HGV License, CPC card and Tacho card

A national courier company is seeking experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers to join its busy transport team located in Hatfield.
Duties
Operate a HGV Class 1 vehicle in a safe and responsible manner, ensuring compliance with all road regulations.
Deliver parcels/Packages to designated depot to depot locations in a timely manner while maintaining high standards of customer service.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
Primarily this is trunking work with occasional load and unload of cargo including securing it appropriately for transport.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel usage.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to safety and operational efficiency.Qualifications
Valid UK HGV Class 1 driving license with the appropriate categories for commercial driving.
Up to date UK CPC and Digi Cards - no EC Cards accepted
Clean or minimal points on license and no major endorsements.
Proven experience as a HGV Class 1 Driver
Strong knowledge of UK road safety regulations and best practices in UK transportation.
Excellent navigation skills and familiarity with GPS systems and a good knowledge of UK road network is essential
A good level of health and fitness and ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo is desirable
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on customer service.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently.
