We are looking for compassionate, reliable, and experienced Temporary Healthcare Assistant/Support Workers to work in a range of adult care settings, including services for individuals with learning disabilities, elderly residential care homes, and nursing homes. You will support service users with their personal care, daily living tasks, and emotional well-being, promoting independence, dignity, and quality of life. 

You will receive £12.80 per hour (paid weekly) along with flexible shifts to suit your availability, ongoing training and development opportunities, a supportive team and the opportunity to gain valuable experience across various settings. 

As a Healthcare Assistant/Support Worker, your responsibilities will include:

Delivering high-quality personal care and support tailored to individual needs and care plans.
Assisting with activities of daily living, including washing, dressing, toileting, mobility, and eating.
Supporting service users in social, recreational, and community activities.
Promoting dignity, choice, and independence in all aspects of care.
Observing and reporting any changes in physical or emotional health to the appropriate staff.
Maintaining accurate records of care provided, in line with regulatory standards.
Following safeguarding procedures and report concerns appropriately.
Working collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure person-centred support.
Adhering to infection control, health and safety, and medication handling policies.
Providing companionship, reassurance, and a listening ear to those you support.
We’re looking for a Healthcare Assistant/Support Worker with:

Previous experience working in adult social care (e.g. elderly care, learning disabilities, supported living, residential care).
Understanding of person-centred care, safeguarding, and health & safety.
Flexible to work various shifts including days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays.
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Empathetic, respectful, and professional in approach.
Desirable:

NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
Moving and Handling, Medication, and Infection Control training.
Full UK driving licence and access to transport.
Experience with non-verbal communication, autism, dementia, or complex behaviours.
