Health & Safety Coordinator (Temporary Assignment)

Reporting to: Site Health & Safety Manager
A leading composite manufacturing company is seeking a Health & Safety Coordinator for a 5-month part-time assignment. This role is fully remote with flexible working hours and days. The successful candidate will be required to be on-site in Duxford for initial training purposes. The position involves managing health and safety processes using the Cority system and supporting risk assessments to ensure compliance and promote a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities
Cority System Management
Review and close hazards in the Cority system
Conduct engagement reviews and manage associated documentation
Oversee action management, ensuring timely completion and follow-up
Review and post incident reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Collate end-of-month data for internal and external reportingRisk Assessment
Review and edit Task Risk Assessments (RA)
Review and edit Ergonomic Risk Assessments (Ergo RA)General Health & Safety Coordination
Support the administration and continuous improvement of the site's Safety Management System, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards
Assist in the investigation and documentation of incidents and near misses
Liaise with site teams to promote a positive safety culture and ensure best practices are followed
Provide periodic safety communications and participate in safety meetings as required
Maintain up-to-date records and documentation in line with company policy and legal requirementsRequirements
Minimum 2 years' experience in a health and safety role, ideally within a manufacturing or engineering environment
Proven experience with Cority System Management is essential
NEBOSH (or equivalent) health and safety qualification required
Strong understanding of risk assessment processes and incident management
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Confident communicator, able to work collaboratively across teams
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesDesirable
Previous experience in the aerospace, aviation, or automotive manufacturing sector
Experience with ergonomic risk assessments
