Our client is a highly successful, transport company based in Sizewell. They are growing their team and are looking for someone to come on board.
We are looking for a Health and Safety Manager to join the wider business team and establish Health and Safety within the business. This role is a full time, permanent position working Monday - Friday and the salary is circa £55,000 depending on background and experience.
The purpose of the role is to set up and implement health and safety procedures, protocols and promote a positive culture towards health and safety.
The main duties are but not restricted to;
* Assist with completing risk assessments
* Investigate incidents, identify the cause of the incidents and make recommendations of improvement
* Support colleagues and provide advice where needed
* Monitor and audit company activity
* Ensure adequate training is established and a health culture is promoted throughout the business.
The successful candidate must have;
* At least 3 years experience working within Health and Safety
* Excellent leadership skills
* Membership to IOSH
* Knowledge of transport industry
* NEBOSH qualification and working knowledge of SHE software’s
* A flexible approach to work
* Excellent computer skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication
* Team player approach to work
