A progressive and people-focused position has arisen for a Health and Safety Advisor to join a forward-thinking public sector organisation where health and safety is receiving focus and commitment from senior leadership.
You’ll report into a supportive and experienced Health and Safety Manager as part of a small, dedicated team. Together, you’ll manage health and safety across more than 40 varied sites, including operational depots, housing, and office environments. The role blends audits, stakeholder engagement, inspections, and facilitation of risk assessments always with a focus on practical, people-first solutions.

The successful Health and Safety Advisor will:
Have 5+ years of experience in a Health and Safety position within operational, public sector, or service-led environments
Demonstrate strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, able to build rapport at all levels
Be a pragmatic problem-solve
Support and deliver health and safety audits, user group meetings, and the facilitation of risk assessments
In return the successful individual will receive an attractive compensation package consisting of:
Salary: £44,331 – £47,532, dependant on experience
Local Government Pension
25 days annual leave increases by 5 days after 5 years. Statutory day in December
