Head of Procurement

We are recruiting for a newly created hybrid opportunity for a Head of Procurement to join and run a team within the public sector.

This newly created team will lead and develop the new procurement team within the organisation, ensuring a compliant and robust function and budget, ensuring government compliance is been adhered to alongside aligning procurement processes with sustainability objectives within the organisations long term goals.

Some of the duties will include but not be exclusive to the below;

Budget Management as Budget Holder
Full circle management of eTenders with transparent procurement process
Lead and initiate transformation change, directly in relation with digitalisation of procurement and corporate
Development of monitoring system for supply chain, inclusive of reporting on associated risks and resilience
Create a target operating model for procurement
Ownership of continuous development of procurement function, inclusive of tender, procurement card, guidance and support through the organisation
Implementation of procedures and policies for tenders and contractsCandidates will only be considered if you have all of the below criteria, please do not apply if this is not the case as your application will not be considered;

Be qualified to degree level within procurement, business, supply chain or another relevant other subject,

Have at least 5 years working within a public procurement team within the UK or Ireland

Hold minimum level 6 CIPS
