Job Title: Head of Possession Management

Deputy: Operations Manager

Responsible to: Executive Board

Job Base: Wales, Western or Southern Region

Prime Responsibilities

* Ensure all business KPI’s are delivered as per annual review targets

* Ensure all branch management and administration staff comply with VHRL HSQE management system

* Ensure all branch staff and workers comply with VHRL HSQE policy & procedure and relevant Health & Safety legislation

* Support safety messages and vision e.g. Everyone Home Safe Every Day, Worksafe, Close Call

* Ensure communication reviews are undertaken

* Ensure assurance checks are undertaken

* Disseminate HSQE alerts and briefings to staff and workers

* Ensure compliance with Client and Rail Industry standards

* Ensure standards are attained for staff and workers in accordance with NR Code of Conduct

* Compliance with Sentinel Scheme Rules

* Deliver work in accordance with Client contract terms & conditions

* Manage and measure client KPI’s

* Ensure Operations team acknowledge requests and manage the deployment of workers in accordance with client order / call-off

* Manage branch teams and operation managers.

* Ensure recruitment is delivered in line with market and client demand

* Responsible for preventing modern slavery

* Ensure worker competency review, validation and training in line with market and client requirements

* Ensure all PeopleSoft system processes maintained by the branches are adhered to and information entered accurately and on time

* Support timely resolution of client queries preventing payment

* Manage and control branches Profit & Loss account in line with agreed plans and objectives

* Ensure effective lines of communication with client comprising safety and operation performance

* Ensure all client messages and briefings are cascaded to ops managers, branch staff and workers

* Attend weekly and periodic planning meetings and ensure branch performance meets the demands of the client

* Carry out safety tours

* Ensure that systems and processes are adhered to as per company procedures

* Ensure Fleet processes and procedures are adhered to

* Undertake ‘on-call’ duties in line with roster

* Act as Responsible manager for Safe System of Work Packs.

General Duties

Fully support and promote the company in achieving it’s aims and objectives.

Carry out any other duties as and when requested by the company, from time to time.
