Salary: £75,000 – £85,000

A leading commercial fit-out company based in Staines is seeking an experienced Head of Passive Fire Protection to lead and expand their Passive Fire Protection department. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to oversee all passive fire projects from inception to completion, build and mentor a dedicated team, and drive departmental growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all passive fire protection projects from conception to completion, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

*

Develop and manage tender documents, liaising closely with clients to meet their specific requirements.

*

Lead contractor selection, manage sub-contracts, suppliers, and internal staff to ensure efficient project execution.

*

Provide mentorship and support to Project Managers, contractors, and engineers, while also offering expertise to other departments.

*

Implement and manage passive fire protection software systems, specifically One Trace.

*

Monitor the financial performance of the department and individual projects, discussing any concerns regarding profitability with the Directors.

*

Prepare comprehensive O&M manuals and as-fitted drawings, ensuring readiness for project handovers.

*

Participate in regular meetings with the Directors to discuss the Business Development Plan, set targets, financial updates, and forecasts.

Requirements:

*

Extensive experience in passive fire protection, with a strong understanding of industry standards and regulations.

*

Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and support staff effectively.

*

Strong client-facing skills, with a track record of building and maintaining client relationships.

*

Ability to read and interpret drawings and design specifications.

*

Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs; experience with AutoCAD is desirable.

*

Relevant qualifications, including City & Guilds or NVQ, CSCS / SMSTS.

*

IOSH Managing Safely qualification is desirable.
