Job Description The Role
We are recruiting a Head of Operational Policy, Assurance and Compliance to be part of the Independent Commission for Reconciliation and Information Recovery (ICRIR).
You will lead on the development and improvement of our operational policies and processes from both thematic and system wide analysis. You will also input to a programme of continuous learning.
You will play a key role in assuring that the crucial work being carried out in the Investigations and Findings teams is carried out to the required standards, meets the public and internal facing policy and process requirements and is in accordance with the values, mission and vision of the Commission. This will include the identification of individual compliance issues in casework.
In doing this you will be supported by a small, focused team who will be able to carry out audit and inspection of all operational aspects of the Commission’s investigations processes through the Support, Information Recovery and Findings stages.
Further to the commitment of the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland to introduce primary legislation to strengthen the Commission’s powers, this role will lead on enabling the Commission to respond effectively to these forthcoming legislative proposals through the development, testing and implementa...
