The successful candidate will:
- Be an outstanding History teacher with a proven track record of delivering excellent student outcomes.

- Have a clear understanding of current pedagogical best practice in History education.
- Demonstrate the ability to lead, manage, and develop a team of dedicated History teachers.
- Be committed to curriculum innovation and creating an engaging and challenging learning experience for students of all abilities.
- Possess excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.

- Ideally have previous experience in a leadership or responsibility role within a History department, though ambitious and highly skilled teachers looking for their first leadership position are also encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide inspirational leadership and strategic direction for the History department.
- Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of a rich and engaging History curriculum across all key stages.
- Lead and manage the History teaching team, fostering a collaborative and supportive working environment.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching and learning within the department, implementing strategies for continuous improvement.
- Analyse student progress data to identify areas for development and ensure appropriate interventions are in place.
- Promote a love of History through extracurricular activities, trips, and other enrichment opportunities.
- Contribute to the wider school community and uphold its values and ethos.
