Reed Finance are looking for an experienced Head of Finance to join a public sector organisation in Ipswich. We are seeking a passionate and confident Head of Finance to bring financial expertise and leadership.
Day-to-day of the role:
Lead the finance team to develop robust and compliant financial processes.
Support managers across the organisation to effectively manage their budgets.
Production of the annual Statement of Accounts and manage relationships with internal and external audit.
Monthly management accounts and analysis.
Budgets, forecasts, financial reporting, management accounting, treasury management and credit control.
Drive the delivery of a financial transformation programme aimed at improving efficiency, procurement, finance processes, protocols, and financial systems, including overseeing the implementation of a new financial system.
Play a key role in financial preparations for local government reorganisation.
Requirements:
Qualified accountancy professional (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
Extensive experience in a complex, multi-faceted financial leadership role within a similar organisation.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a diverse finance team.
