Head of English - The Role:
Lead a successful, well-resourced English Department from KS3 through to KS5
Deliver strategic leadership on curriculum design, assessment, and staff development
Work as part of the wider middle and senior leadership teams to contribute to whole-school improvement
Inspire and mentor a team of enthusiastic English teachers
Permanent, full-time position starting ASAP
Inner London Leadership Scale (dependent on experience)
Candidate Profile - Do You Fit the Role?
UK QTS and a strong academic background in English Literature or Language
Proven track record of excellent classroom teaching and pupil progress
Experience in leading or supporting curriculum development and line management
Ambitious, driven, and keen to contribute to a culture of high standards
Committed to inclusive education and promoting a love of English among all students
Enthusiastic about taking part in the wider life of the school
