We all support one another and work closely together to deliver exceptional outcomes for our clients that make us proud.What you’ll be doingWe’re looking for a passionate and experienced individual to join us as Head of Employee Relations. The successful role holder will be responsible for leading, guiding and developing our growing Employee Relations team, whose work includes the application of employment law in a range of workplace scenarios. This includes disciplinary, grievance and absence cases, policy development, TUPE, redundancy, and defining terms and conditions of employment.You will work closely with clients and colleagues to deliver exceptional work, effectively manage accounts and ensure client satisfaction throughout. As a member of our leadership team, you will contribute to and lead the strategic direction and goals of the business, taking responsibility for resolving issues and achieving our growth plans.In addition to this, you will also be responsible for the following: Developing service delivery strategies with the leadership team to enhance business growth and profitability. Identifying and resolving any problems in the service delivery teams to ensure they are quickly resolved, obstacles are removed, and the teams can deliver an exceptional service to clients. Working with direct reports to ensure company strategies and initiatives are fully embedded throughout the ER team. Growing, and developing strong relationships with key accounts, as well as maintaining relationships with partners, suppliers and associates. Working as a member of the leadership team, supporting the strategic direction and goals of the company. Providing expert advice and guidance to clients on complex employee relations issues, including overseeing projects and casework. Leading the ER team members to ensure they are coached and managed effectively to deliver their objectives. Reviewing a range of work drafted by your team, and other internal teams, seeking expert opinion where necessary to ensure it is of exceptional quality.About youThe ideal candidate will have extensive experience in dealing with complex disciplinary, grievance, performance and ill health cases up to and including ET. You will also come with strong experience of organisational business change processes such as TUPE, redundancies, restructuring and changing terms and conditions of employment.You will have a proven background of coaching, leading and developing a team and you will be a strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement organisational strategies.In addition to this, you will have the following: Level 7 CIPD qualification or an employment law qualification (or equivalent). Extensive experience of developing policies and drafting contracts of employment. Significant experience of working with best practice HR principles and expert knowledge of employment law. Experience in leading complex ER processes, involving multiple stakeholders, and workplace investigations. Ability to identify risks and provide informed advice to team members, colleagues, and clients. Experience of utilising your team efficiently to meet project deadlines and estimates. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with experience of drafting detailed reports and documentation. Confidence in consulting, influencing, and partnering with key stakeholders up to board level. Comfortable using various IT systems, including the MS office suite.
