We’re seeking an experienced Head of Electrical Operations to lead and grow our electrical projects across multi-site operations. This is a senior leadership role with full P&L responsibility, overseeing a team of Project Managers, Engineers, and Supervisors delivering electrical projects up up to £1M+ in value.
You will drive operational performance, ensure compliance with industry standards (BS 7671, NICEIC), manage key client relationships, and support strategic growth across the Midlands.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the successful delivery of electrical installation, maintenance, and upgrade projects valued upto £1M+
*
Manage a multidisciplinary team of Project Managers, Engineers, and Supervisors to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency
*
Oversee day-to-day operations and long-term planning to support business growth and client satisfaction
*
Maintain and build strong relationships with key FMCG clients, ensuring a high standard of service and repeat business
*
Take ownership of forecasting, budgeting, cost control, and financial performance of the electrical division
*
Ensure strict compliance with BS 7671 (18th Edition), NICEIC regulations, and all safety legislation
*
Drive continuous improvement in project execution, labour utilisation, and resource management
What We’re Looking For:
*
Apprentice-trained in Electrical Engineering with an HNC or higher in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
*
Ideally 10 years of experience in electrical project management within manufacturing or FMCG environments
*
In-depth knowledge of BS 7671 wiring regulations, NICEIC standards, and inspection/testing (#####)
*
Skilled in leading teams, managing client relationships, and overseeing high-value projects
*
Experience integrating control systems, instrumentation, and process electrical installations
*
Strong commercial acumen with full understanding of budgeting and financial reporting
*
SSSTS/SMSTS certification and Project Management training desirable
