Are you a passionate and dynamic Geography teacher looking for the next step up in your career? Are you a current Second in Department looking to become a Head of Department in Geography. We are working with a vibrant and well-respected secondary school who are seeking to recruit a Head of Department for Geography to join their dedicated Humanities department on a permanent contract starting in the new academic year from September 2025.

The Role:

Teach Geography across KS3 & KS4
Lead Geography across each year group and manage all of the Teachers / Support within the department
Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons tailored to a diverse range of learning styles
Work within a supportive department that values innovation, fieldwork, and cross-curricular links
Contribute to the wider school life including trips, clubs, and parent/community events
Be a form tutor and support the pastoral care of students Key Requirements:

A degree in Geography or a related subject and Qualified Teaching Status in the UK (QTS)
A track record of effective and inspiring teaching at secondary level
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
