Job purpose:
As a member of the Group Reporting team, you'll look after all statutory reporting, leading quarter end reporting as well as year end audit. you'll have a passion for accountability, setting high standards, raising the bar, and driving results through constant focus on improving existing and future state operations, systems, and processes.
What we're looking for:
With this in mind we're keen to see applications from
Audit or Practice backgrounds. This will be a seamless transition into industry as you'll have all the reporting skills needed. Of course if you're currently in a similar reporting role
in another client side business then we're certainly keen to see your application as well.
Ideally you'll have around 2 years+ post qualified experience , however this can be within CIMA/ACA/ACCA all accreditations are relevant.
Ways of working:
We appreciate life doesn't just revolve around rigid work hours. We do have lovely office space and a collaborative, engaging working culture. So we often spend our 37.5 hour working week in the office which is Union based in Manchester City Centre, 4 days a week (1 day from home).
What you'll be doing:
You'll work closely with the commercial finance teams across the Group, building key relationships. The role will also work alongside our Group Reporting Manager and have exposure to our financial planning and analysis function, producing quarterly / weekly cashflow forecasts and quarterly profit and loss account forecasts
Preparation and responsibility for statutory and non-statutory reporting including statutory consolidations as required across the Group.
Responsibility for preparation of consolidated and company only financial statements,including external review processes.
Review and follow up on issues raised on production of accounts and forecasts.
Liaison with the external auditors as part of Bruntwood Group's annual audit process.
Ensuring that financial controls across the Group are robust and maintained.
Work in partnership with the Group Finance Controller and Group Reporting Manager on complex accounting transactions across the Group, ensuring alignment with accounting standards.
Work in partnership with the Group Financial Controller and Group Reporting Manager on driving process improvements across reporting and associated systems.
Work with colleagues across finance to complete quarter end reporting, to include producing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, consolidated balance sheet and management accounts pack.
Assisting with the production of cash forecasting across the group, on a weekly and monthly basis, including liaising with commercial finance teams to collate forecast information.
Support and development of Group Finance Executives.
