At Blackburn College, we’re on a mission to shape futures and empower our community, and we’re looking for a talented Graphic Designer to help us bring that story to life across everything we do.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, friendly team at one of the top three colleges in England, working across an ambitious multi-channel marketing strategy that spans further education, higher education, apprenticeships, and adult learning.

The Role

As our Graphic Designer, you’ll lead on producing impactful, on-brand creative across a wide range of formats, from prospectuses and social media content to signage and digital ad campaigns.

You’ll be the go-to expert for visual storytelling, ensuring our messaging is not just seen, but remembered. Whether you’re capturing student moments on camera, creating scroll-stopping digital content, or developing design solutions for campaigns and events, your work will help shape how our audiences see Blackburn College.

You’ll work closely with colleagues across curriculum and the wider marketing teams, supporting everything from student recruitment to industry collaboration and alumni engagement.

A degree (or equivalent experience) in Graphic Design or a related field.
A portfolio that showcases high quality design work, flair, originality, and versatility across print and digital formats.
Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
Experience preparing artwork for a range of channels, including print, web and social media.
Experience in photography and image editing, with confidence behind a camera.
Excellent time management, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
A proactive, solution-focused approach to your work, with a sharp eye for detail.
A collaborative mindset – ready to work with staff across all areas of the College.
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends for College events as required
