If this appeals to you, they also offer hybrid working opportunities, fantastic holiday pay and pension coverage.What you’ll be doingYour work will directly support the upkeep and enhancement of a key list of threatened species (a key resource in global conservation efforts)!This position not only offers the chance to work with cutting-edge GIS technologies but also places you at the heart of efforts to shape conservation policies and practices worldwide.Your day to day might look a little like this: Preparing and delivering data Processing and analysing spatial data for assessment projects Contributing to the design and development of GIS tools and scripts Performing advanced GIS analyses Assisting in the curation and mapping of species distributionsA bit about you Ideally, you’ll be based within a commutable distance of the Cambridge office.You’ll have a Bachelor’s degree in GIS, geography, environmental science or similar as well as an interest in biodiversity conservation.A few other key skills we are looking for: 3-5 years of experience with ArcGIS Desktop or similar GIS software Proficient in scripting with SQL, Python or R for geospatial data processing An excellent understanding of geospatial data management Knowledge of biodiversity data manipulation A logical thinker Good communication skills Want to hear more?
