Generation Engineer (Mechanical Engineer)

Job Description We are currently looking for 2x Generation Engineer (Mechanical Engineer)- Midlands/South Based.\n\nThis role is 40 hours per week. Remote with a VAN & Fuel fule card provided\n\nMidlands/Southern based is preferred to service Peakers, however national travel will be required.\n\nMain responsibilities:\n\n * Replace worn components as required (due to wear, failure, schedule). e.g.
cylinder heads, piston/liner packs, turbochargers, exhaust and induction systems, oil pumps, and intercoolers.\n\n * Lead the overhaul of reciprocating generating assets.\n\n * Day to day maintenance and operation including but not limited to; fault location, diagnosis, and rectification.\n\n * Planned maintenance delivery and breakdown response for generation assets, with minimum outages.\n\n * Seek guidance and advice from the Engineering and Management team in anything you are unsure of.\n\n * Avoiding unnecessary expenditure by using skills and tools available within the company.\n\n * Listing and ordering the correct components, gaskets and incidentals for scheduled overhaul and repairs.\n\n * Ensuring a stock of essential spare parts is replenished and available should there be a breakdown and/or unscheduled overhaul required.\n\n * A commitment to Health, Safety Quality and Environmental practices following all procedures and using your own judgement.\n\n * Redu...
