General Maintenance Operative

GENERAL MAINTENANCE OPERATIVE

Salary £24,500pa - £26,000pa, depending on experience

The Role

We have an exciting new opportunity for a General Maintenance Operative. The work is varied and outdoors and duties include:

- Carrying out general building maintenance including carpentry, masonry, general building and ground works.
- Path and drive maintenance and construction.
- Lawncare, mowing and strimming.
- General fencing and grounds maintenance.
- Maintain all machinery and equipment in good condition.
- Keep sites and buildings clean and tidy.
- Routine/essential estate duties, e.g. meter reads, alarm tests, etc.

About You

You will:

- Be experienced in general building maintenance including basic carpentry, masonry, outdoor plumbing, general building, or ground works.
- Be confident driving various estate vehicles and towing a trailer.
- Have some experience operating plant machinery e.g. excavator, forklift, telehandler, or cherry picker etc.
- Have the ability to work to a high standard and demonstrate attention to detail.
- Have the ability to undertake physical work, working at height and a willingness to work outside in all weathers.
- Have the ability to work safely, read, follow, and produce Risk Assessments and Method statements.
