Functional Skills Tutor

A large Secondary School and Sixth Form in Crosby are looking to employ a tutor to work 1 to 1 or in small groups tutoring Functional Skills to SEND learners. The Seconary School is a mainstream school so you must have a strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum to ensure your tutoring sessions follow the topics and aims of the National Curriculum in KS4. Ideally the role would be full-time however for the right candidate part-time is an option and the hours can be flexible. You would be spending half of your time supporting SEND learners in mainstream lessons and the other half teaching in the alternative provision. The successful candidate must have experience working with SEND learners.

The school is commutable by train from Liverpool and Sefton and is a 10 minute drive from 2 motorways.

This is a fantasitc role for someone looking for an opporunity to teach learners on a smaller scale and support them in their learning of Functional Skills.

The candidate MUST have:

• Previous experience working with SEND learners.
• Previous experience working with the UK National Curriculum for Key Stage 4.
• Eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident.
• Two suitable references covering the last 2 years.
• A current DBS that is registered with the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
