The Front-End Designer will act as the bridge between Currys' central Design Team, iD Mobile's UX/UI team and iD Mobile's Front-End Developers while always having users (customers) at the heart of your work.
You will create and process designs and journeys, in all viewports (Desktop, Tablet and Mobile etc.) via Figma, so it is essential you are proficient with this tool.
You'll ensure designs are responsive and can be coded by the Front-End Development team/yourself. Therefore, it is essential you have experience in languages like HTML and CSS as well as Frameworks such as Bootstrap.

As part of this role, you'll be responsible for: • Work with UX/UI to ensure optimal user experience by ensuring intuitive and user-friendly interfaces. • Support continuous Front-End changes across the website, taking your brief from the UX/UI team. • Write well-structured code that is easy to maintain and understand. • Ensure code is built to all provided viewports and is responsive. • Draw upon your artistic creativity when collaborating with Web Designers and clients as required. • Develop and test cross-browser, cross-platform and multi-device compatible solutions. • Design & build all promotional elements for the website and build interactive landing pages.
You will need: • Experience working in Agile development. • Qualifications in Graphic Design, Multimedia or similar. • Experience in coding languages including HTML, CSS and Frameworks such as Bootstrap. • Proficient in Figma. • Experience in developing websites through a CMS. • Familiar with best practices for usability, conversion optimisation and accessibility • Strong creative skills with an understanding of the technical build of sites and graphics. • Experience in formulating and evolving new customer journeys, or on-page experience.
