Build to Rent Project - South Wales - £300 to £400 per day

Our client is a nationally recognised construction and infrastructure contractor with a proven track record in delivering high-profile residential developments across the UK. Known for their commitment to innovation, sustainability, and quality, they are currently delivering a range of large-scale schemes that support long-term urban regeneration and modern living.
Your new role
Our client is seeking two experienced Freelance Site Managers to join the team on a landmark £55 million Build to Rent development in South Wales. These roles offer the opportunity to take ownership of key areas on-site, helping to drive the successful delivery of a high-spec residential scheme from structural phase through to completion.
Responsibilities will include:
Leading daily site operations in line with programme and safety requirements
Coordinating subcontractors, labour, and suppliers to ensure smooth workflow
Managing quality assurance, inspections, and snagging processes
Supporting the wider project management team in delivering progress reports and updates
Ensuring full compliance with health and safety legislation on site
Attending project meetings and contributing to site planning and logistics
Maintaining accurate records of works, variations, and material deliveries
Overseeing works to ensure adherence to design and specification
What you will need to succeed:
Demonstrable experience as a Site Manager on large-scale residential or build-to-rent projects
Strong knowledge of RC frame construction methods and sequencing
Valid SMSTS, CSCS (Black or Gold Card), and First Aid at Work
Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple trades on site
Strong attention to detail and high standards of workmanship
Competent with site documentation, H&S compliance, and client liaison
Available to work on a freelance basis for the duration of the project
