Job DescriptionFreelance Design & Verification (FPGA) Engineer – Cambridge (England) –12 Months+We're looking for an expert Design & Verification Engineer to join the Platform team on a contract basis. We work at the forefront of embedded IP and system design. We build physical hardware development platforms, to FPGA in support of software development, pre-silicon, and IP validation, as well as a number of design profiling use cases. To ensure accurate modelling of incoming designs, we must constantly develop new and innovative prototyping techniques.Responsibilities:of FPGA architecture specifications into RTL designs with accompanying verification environments to ensure the specifications are followed. Your designs will then be incorporated into SoC and reference designs before being thoroughly tested as system level before delivery to our prototyping teams.experience of RTL design using (System-)Verilog for either/or FPGA and ASIC, as well as a good understanding of FPGA device architecture is essential.role also requires verification experience using System-Verilog and possibly UVM environments including coding System Verilog Assertions (SVA) checks, cover-properties, SV coverage groups.will work with a large team in a sophisticated development environment. As such, a high degree of proficiency in UNIX/Linux development environments as well as experience with scripting languages like Python, Tcl, Make, bash etc. are needed for this role.Required Skills and Experience:Track record of delivering RTL designs in a SoC or FPGA context.Skilled in RTL Verification at both unit and system level, using SystemVerilog, including SVA.Proficiency in C programming plus, ideally, some grounding in assembly language (ideally Arm assembler) and object-orientated coding (e.g. C++)Experience of ASIC or FPGA synthesis tools.Confident user of a UNIX environment and shell programming/scripting in e.g. Make, Python, Tcl, sh, bash.Comprehension and use of data formats such as YAML and JSON.A creative and structured approach to problem-solvingDetails:Location: Cambridge, England (Hybrid)Duration: 12 months+Start Date: Negotiable (April / May 2024)Rate: Competitive, dependent on experienceIf you wish to be considered for the position available, please e-mail an up to date CV with a contact number to: ##### or alternatively call on +31 20 888 8400.
