As a Forklift Engineer, you will collaborate with the Service Manager and liaise with Service Controllers to service and repair a variety of forklift trucks and warehouse equipment at customer sites.
Forklift Engineer Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic faults on forklifts and related warehouse equipment.
Service and maintain LPG, diesel, and electric-powered forklifts, focusing on preventative maintenance.
Repair hydraulic valves, rams, final drive, and gearbox components.
Repair and maintain engines and related components.
Perform full and partial strip-downs of LPG, diesel, or electric forklifts.
Inspect and provide customers with repair quotes in coordination with the Service Manager.
Replace oil, filters, and necessary components to ensure optimal forklift performance.
Check voltages and gravities of traction batteries using meters and hydrometers.
Conduct and report on battery surveys as required.
Liaise with the Service Manager and Parts Controller to ensure efficient job completion.
