Forklift Driver / Yard Worker

Our Glasgow Team are delighted to be working with our Builders merchant Client to recruit an experienced Yard Worker with Forklift experience for their site in North Lanarkshire on a temp to perm basis.

Days of Work: Monday to Friday

Hours of Work: Start 07:30 - 17:00

Rate of Pay: £13.00 per hour

Reporting to the site Supervisor, successful candidates will be responsible for safe and effective yard operations. Duties include but are not limited to;

• Accept and check deliveries, document shortages, and process paperwork.
• Store and rotate materials to minimise waste.
• Conduct weekly stock takes.
• Maintain yard tidiness and perform general repairs.
• Manage plant and tool bookings, perform minor repairs, and notify purchasing of external repair needs.

Requirements

• Forklift licence and experience
• Excellent organisational skills
• Strong IT and Admin skills
• Effective communicator both written and verbal
• Warehouse or yard experience
