As a Food Tech ECT, your responsibilities will include:

Teaching Food Technology at KS3 and KS4 (with possible KS5 opportunities as you grow)

*

Supporting students with a range of abilities and backgrounds

*

Delivering lessons that balance theory with practical skill-building

*

Participating in extracurricular cooking clubs or health initiatives

ECTs will benefit from:

A reduced timetable in Year 1

A dedicated subject mentor and regular one-to-one support

Weekly CPD focused on classroom practice and subject delivery

Opportunities to visit partner schools and observe experienced teachers

Person Specification:

QTS (or on track to achieve by July 2025)

A passion for food education, wellbeing, and healthy lifestyles

Confidence with classroom management and health & safety protocols

Enthusiasm for supporting young people in developing life skills

Enhanced DBS required
