The Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Engineering Service Manager to lead a Fire & Security Systems team. This is a key leadership position responsible for managing a team of engineers, ensuring service delivery excellence, compliance with industry standards, and driving operational efficiency. The role will predominantly be office based with occasional client/ site visits as required.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, manage, and support a team of fire and security engineers across Yorkshire
Oversee the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance, installations, and system upgrades
Ensure compliance with relevant standards such as NSI, BAFE, and BS EN regulations
Maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
Conduct performance reviews, training, and mentoring of engineering staff
Liaise with internal departments to coordinate schedules, stock, and resource planning
Implement and monitor KPIs to ensure service targets are met or exceeded
Drive continuous improvement and ensure health & safety compliance on all projects
About You
Proven experience in a senior engineering or service manager role within the fire and security industry
Strong technical knowledge of fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV, access control, and integrated systems
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
Full UK Driving Licence
Relevant industry qualifications (e.g. FIA, ECS, or equivalent)
