Position: Financial Controller Location: Barrow in Furness

Role Overview: As the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the operational leadership of the finance department, ensuring that financial services are delivered in compliance with college policies, procedures, and financial regulations. Your role will involve streamlining processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of financial and management accounting systems.- Prepare year-end financial statements in accordance with accounting standards and Education & Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) requirements.- Support the annual budget setting process and provide timely financial reports and reconciliations.
Budget Oversight:
- Liaise with budget holders regarding financial performance and forecasts, ensuring value for money and compliance with financial regulations.- Maintain and update the college's financial regulations and procedures.
