Our client, a prominent player in the Irish energy sector, is seeking a Finance ControllerJoin the team as a Finance Controller and play a pivotal role in delivering timely and insightful financial information to both the Board and Management team.If you're ready to make a significant impact in the Irish energy sector, reach out and let's power up your application together.Overview:The Finance Department is responsible for the provision of timely and insightful financialinformation to the Board and to Management. It also has responsibility for the ongoingdevelopment of the company's internal control procedures and financial informationsystem to fulfil regulatory and statutory requirements. The role holder is responsible forthe management of and regular reporting on the company`s Dublin functions.This role operates within a fast paced, busy environment. The role holder ensures timelyand accurate financial information is produced in order for the Group to meetestablished goals and objectives while ensuring statutory requirements are adhered to.Key Responsibilities:* Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts by the comapny`s TSO Accountant.* Lead all aspects of Regulatory reporting.* Manage the financial performance of company`s TSO.* Manage the ledger accountant, AR, AP and Disbursement teams.* Lead the annual internal and external audit processes.* Maintain good collaborative working relationships with management across theGroup.* Lead the annual budgeting and reforecasting process for company`s TSO.* Drive efficiencies through process improvements.* Trusted financial advisor to the company`s Executive on Price Control Submission ofOpex and Capex totalling c. ₠2bn.* Enhance all aspects of the ERP system.* Lead financial processes around integration of new Interconnector to the Grid.* Responsible for the company`s TSO tax compliance matters for example VAT, PSWT, RCTetc.* Lead cashflow forecasting for company`s TSO.* Manage the company's ₠1bn TUOS Revenue stream.* Manage key stakeholders such as Regulator and banking provider.* Manage the company`s TSO Finance team and the longer-term development of teammembers in line with the Annual Performance Review Process.* Set team goals, assign team members, and administratively and technically directthe work.* Ensuring compliance with the financial control framework and accountingpolicies.Knowledge, Skills and Experience:* Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) with a minimum of 10 years' experience withina fast-paced finance department.* Demonstrated experience of working as leading a team.* Proven ability to work well under pressure and to strict deadlines.* Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to operate on own initiative.* Working knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP reporting requirements.* Strong analytical skills.* Strong attention to detail and ability to organize and work with large volumes ofdata.* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.* Working knowledge of Dynamics AX or similar financial packages.* Strong understanding of managing enhancements to ERP systems.* Strong understanding of tax treatment of financial contracts.If the role interests you, please get in touch via email.If you are interested in other roles or career change, please do not hesitate to contact me too.Adecco is an equal opportunity employer!Adecco Ireland is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.Please apply with your CV to: Luan da Cruz
