Job Description

Role Summary
The Finance Operations Assistant (Claims) supports the effective financial management of Tedaisy by implementing processes that ensure compliance with regulations and enhance operational accuracy and efficiency

Responsibilities
  • Adhere to and promote the Company’s financial procedures and compliance standards
  • Coordinate and execute Claims financial transactions and activities, such as payment of invoices, and ensuring all customer premiums are up to date
  • Maintain accurate financial records for claims using internal systems and spreadsheets
  • Checking customer premium payments and support refunds for overpayments
  • Arranging recovery of claim overpayments, ensuring leakage is under 1%
  • Collaborate with other teams to resolve financial discrepancies and errors
  • Respond to financial queries from colleagues, clients, and stakeholders professionally and accurately
  • Assist in preparing regular claims financial reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Identify financial trends, irregularities, or errors through data analysis
  • Support automation initiatives for streamlining claims payments
  • Participate in audits by providing necessary data and insights
Experience, Qualifications & Skills
  • Working knowledge of financial processes within the insurance industry (or similar), with an understanding of relevant regulations and compliance requirements
  • Maths GSCE or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a finance or insurance operations role (e.g. Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant, or similar) is preferable
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
  • Confident in using Microsoft Excel and other spreadsheet tools to manage and analyse data
  • An analytical mindset with the ability to identify discrepancies and trends
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to problem solving and team interaction
