A well-established SME operating in the construction sector is seeking an experienced and proactive Finance Manager to join their team based in Brighouse. This is a key appointment and represents the No.1 finance role on site, responsible for overseeing all day-to-day financial operations.Reporting directly to the Managing Director, with a dotted line to Group Finance, the successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring robust financial control and reporting across the business. The role will also contribute to strategic planning and business decision-making, providing valuable financial insight to support growth and operational efficiency.Key Responsibilities: Full responsibility for the day-to-day finance function, including transactional processing, month-end and year-end close.
Preparation of management accounts, financial reports, and variance analysis.
Cash flow forecasting and management.
Budget preparation, monitoring and reforecasting.
VAT returns, CIS returns and statutory compliance.
Liaison with external auditors and other stakeholders.
Working closely with the Managing Director and wider management team to support strategic business initiatives.
Requirements: A qualified or QBE finance professional, ideally with experience within an SME environment.
