Field Service Engineer – CNC Machine Tools
Location: North East
Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 + Company Vehicle
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time
A well-established CNC machine tool distributor is expanding its UK service team and is looking to recruit an experienced Field Service Engineer to support customers across the North East.
This field-based role would suit a skilled engineer with a background in both mechanical and electrical fault-finding, who takes pride in delivering high-quality service across a wide range of CNC machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine servicing and preventative maintenance on CNC machine tools
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults at customer sites
Provide on-site support and maintain strong relationships with customers across various manufacturing sectors
Offer technical assistance to both customers and internal teams
Stay up to date with new machine technologies and attend relevant training, especially when new control systems are introduced
What We’re Looking For:
Based in the North East, with flexibility to travel throughout the region
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a service or maintenance role (post-apprenticeship)
HNC or equivalent in Engineering, or relevant hands-on experience
Strong mechanical and electrical fitting skills
Experience working with CNC control systems such as Fanuc, Siemens, or He...
