Field Application EngineerJob description We are seeking a proactive and technically adept Field Application Engineer to collaborate closely with our existing and potential customer base. In this role you’ll be the first point of contact for a customer’s technical inquiries where you will need to analyse the technical requirements and develop solutions and strategies to provide exceptional customer support.Your skills and experience will include:Essential:Engineering degree, technical discipline or industry experience (Automotive, Electrical, Electronics or embedded hardware).Working knowledge or experience of in-vehicle communication networks such as CAN, LIN, FlexRay or Ethernet.Working knowledge or experience of network level testing tools such as CANalyzer, Vehicle Spy, Bus Master.Working knowledge or experience of vehicle diagnostics.Working knowledge or experience with programming languages such as C, C# or python.Proficient in English for both written and spoken communication.Willingness to travel within the UK, Ireland and occasionally within Europe.Full UK driving licenceDesirable:Working knowledge or experience automotive embedded control systems.Working knowledge or experience of Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) testing systems such as VT System, dSpace or NI.Working knowledge or experience with simulation environments such at MATLAB Simulink.Working knowledge or experience with automotive actuators, sensors and data buses.
