Farm Hand (Irrigation)

We’re working with a well-established and respected farming operation that specialises in growing a variety of herbs, vegetables, and other crops. They are currently seeking a reliable and motivated Farm Hand with experience in irrigation systems to join their team.

While irrigation will be a key focus of the role, you’ll also support other farm activities, offering variety and hands-on involvement in day-to-day operations. This is a great opportunity to work outdoors, learn new skills, and be part of a hardworking, down-to-earth team.

Key Responsibilities:

* Set up, operate, and maintain irrigation systems to ensure efficient water usage

* Monitor crop water needs and adjust irrigation schedules as needed

* Assist with planting, weeding and general crop care

* Carry out routine farm maintenance and equipment checks

* Support other farm tasks as required, including pest control and soil management

* Maintain a clean and safe working environment

About You:

* Prior experience working with irrigation systems (drip, overhead, or similar)

* Prior experience working within the farming industry is essential.

* Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions

* Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks

* A proactive and adaptable team player

* Willingness to learn and take on a variety of tasks

* Reliable with good attention to detail
