Zion Landscapes are looking for an experienced gardener to join our expanding team.
Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Gardener to maintain and improve the garden of our clients.
Gardener responsibilities include all aspect of garden maintenance – monitor and maintaining the health of all plants and greenscapes, watering and feeding plants, trimming trees and shrubs, fertilizing and mowing lawns, weeding gardens and keeping green spaces and walkways clear of debris and litter. You should know how to use and maintain gardening equipment, including mowers, trimmers and fertilizers, while following health and safety regulations.
Ultimately, you will make sure our clients gardens and green spaces are always healthy and beautiful.
Responsibilities include:
*
Maintaining beds and borders, (staking, weeding, thinning out, cutting back, splitting, planting etc)
*
Monitoring and ensuring plant health, treating where appropriate
*
Pruning and cutting back hedges, trees and shrubs at appropriate times
*
Maintaining lawns and other green spaces (grass cutting, treating, leaf collecting, weed management etc)
*
Offering planting recommendations and advice to clients
*
Install and maintain seasonal plants
*
Mulch, edge and weed gardens
*
Maintain all gardening equipment and machinery, like mowers, trimmers and leaf blowers
*
Deal with pest problems that could damage plants
*
Keep gardens and green spaces clear of debris and litter
Requirements and skills:
*
Proven experience as an employed gardener
*
Extensive knowledge of plants and plant health
*
Knowledge of pests and how to manage them
*
Knowledge of synthetic and natural fertilizers
*
A love of the outdoors and plant life
*
Appropriate experience and qualifications
