The Wandsworth campus of South Thames College are looking for an Examinations Officer – someone to provide support in the day-to-day operational management of the Examinations department. Within the role, you will be responsible for centre liaison with appropriate awarding bodies and academic staff regarding registrations, access arrangements, results, and certificates. You will coordinate Invigilators, examination timetables, storage, and the distribution of exam papers as well as the collection and submission of exam papers. You will be responsible for the internal collection and external processing of all awarding body results and processes within EBS and for supervising the work of any administrative staff. We’re looking for someone who is qualified to at least Level 3 or with the equivalent level of experience and who has experience of working in an examinations environment. You will have experience of working with and complying with centrally established procedures and externally imposed regulations and be able to demonstrate, through experience, education and training, the ability to understand and carry out administrative duties in a complex environment. Able to communicate effectively at all levels, you will have excellent skills in numeracy and IT, including the use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and email. You will be able to work effectively under pressure, to strict deadlines and without direct supervision. We’d also like you to be able to work flexibly to support the delivery of examinations including some evening and possible weekend work. Subject to a cost of living review from 1 August, the successful candidate will be eligible for any subsequent increase in salary.
