About the Role:

As an Exam Invigilator, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and smooth running of internal and external assessments. Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up examination venues according to JCQ regulations and school policies.
  • Distribute and collect examination materials in a timely and secure manner.
  • Supervise students during exams, ensuring a quiet and controlled environment.
  • Prevent and report any instances of malpractice or misconduct.

  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to exam protocols at all times.
  • Work closely with Exams Officers and senior staff to facilitate smooth exam delivery.

Job Requirements:

  • A high level of reliability, punctuality, and professionalism.
  • Excellent observation skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • A calm, reassuring, and authoritative presence.
  • Flexible availability during school hours, particularly during the exam season.
  • Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).

Benefits of Joining GSL Education:

  • Opportunity to work in reputable schools with a strong safeguarding ethos.

  • A principled and compassionate recruitment approach that prioritises both educators and learners.

If you are confident in maintaining order and fairness during crucial academic moments and wish to contribute to students' success, we welcome your application.

Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, including providing an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or completing an application for a new check.
