We are looking to appoint reliable and organised Exam Invigilators to support the smooth running of examinations at a secondary school in St Albans.
This is a full-time, term-time role, Monday to Friday, 8:20am - 4:00pm.
The successful candidate will have experience working with children in the UK and must be available to start immediately.
Responsibilities
Prepare examination rooms in line with official guidelines
Ensure candidates are seated correctly and all materials are distributed appropriately
Supervise students throughout the exam period, maintaining a quiet and focused environment
Read out exam instructions clearly and ensure all regulations are followed
Respond to candidate queries where appropriate, referring to the Exams Officer when necessary
Collect exam scripts and materials securely at the end of each session
Report any issues, incidents, or suspected malpractice immediately
Maintain confidentiality and uphold the integrity of the examination process
Requirements:
Reliable, punctual, and professional at all times
Excellent attention to detail
Clear verbal communication skills
Able to remain calm and authoritative under pressure
Capable of following strict procedures and working as part of a team
Right to work in the UK
Willingness to undergo a DBS check and safeguarding training
