Are you an experience Travel Professional based in South East London or Kent? Have you previously used Amadeus GDS to book flights? Keen to try your hand within the Events side of the Industry? We have the role for you!!!!Why are working with an established / independently owned TMC with offices in London & Kent, who are looking for a Groups & Events / Flights Consultant to join their team!You will be developing and maintain strong and lasting client relationships through the delivery of exceptional service, and by doing so, contributing to the overall success of the Groups and Events team.Role responsibilities:To be the first point of contact for our clients with regards to all enquiries and the maintenance of ongoing client relationshipsTo ensure that turnaround times are met, and that information provided to clients is accurate.To take and put together client proposals - always ensuring that proposals are consistent, relevant, accurate, commercially viable and stand out. It is essential to always demonstrating strong and confident destination knowledge.To make both individual and group bookings (air, rail, hotels) and all ground travel arrangements liaising with appropriate DMCs as requiredIdentifying opportunities for add on services and events using your destination knowledge and commercial awareness.To provide excellent service to our clients - always being the face of the business, being punctual, accurate and responding to the client requestsTo follow up with clients to gain feedback and to support the process of ongoing business.To always be looking for opportunities to seek new business and to work with the Business Development Manager where appropriate.To travel with clients as required and to be on site handling all issues that may arise.The Person:At least 2+ years' travel industry experienceMinimum 1 year of Amadeus experience (command preferred, not graphic) for quotes, bookings, ticket issue etc.Taking a proactive approach; calm under pressure and takes a "common sense" approach to problem solving.A team player, creating strong bonds with your immediate team and other business areas.Able to work in a fast-paced environment with an ever-changing work schedule in order to meet our client's needs, whilst multi-tasking across a number of eventsComfortable working to deadlines and being accountable to them; providing excellent customer service to our clients; always being the face of the business, being punctual, accurate and responsive to client requests.Flexible in your approach to working; in the variety of work you do, in relation to supporting your colleagues and in terms of the hours you are prepared to work when required across events.
