Workman’s Recruitment is pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for an experienced Estimator to join a skilled team specialising in bespoke joinery, washroom projects, and multi-trade fit-outs for commercial and residential clients across London. You’ll produce accurate cost estimates for a variety of projects, from iconic corporate headquarters to renowned establishments.
You will contribute to prestigious projects for corporate giants, global brands, and renowned London addresses, delivering exceptional craftsmanship and innovative solutions tailored to each client’s needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Produce detailed and accurate cost estimates from architectural drawings, specifications, and client requirements.
* Attend client-facing meetings and represent the business professionally, providing expert insight into cost planning.
* Collaborate closely with design, production, and project management teams to align estimates with project scope and timelines.
* Analyse labour, materials, and time requirements to ensure competitive pricing and accurate forecasting.
* Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations, maintaining cost databases and supplier relationships.
* Prepare and submit compliant tender documentation, ensuring all proposals meet client expectations and deadlines.
* Provide post-tender support, including attending clarification meetings and revising bids as required.
* Handover project documentation and estimates clearly to project delivery teams to ensure smooth transitions.
* Monitor ongoing project costs against original estimates, advising on adjustments where necessary.
* Support and mentor junior estimating staff as required.
Requirements
* Proven experience in estimating within joinery, washroom, or multi-trade fit-out projects.
* Strong ability to read and interpret detailed construction drawings and specifications.
* Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and numerical accuracy.
* Commercial awareness and ability to manage budgets and timelines effectively.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and estimating software/tools.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Full UK Driving License.
Salary & Package:
* Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 (dependent on experience)
