Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 per annum (DOE)

Job Description:
This is a dynamic and customer-focused Estimator role, ideal for an experienced CNC Engineer or someone with a strong technical background in precision manufacturing. You’ll work closely with the Sales and Production teams to deliver accurate and competitive quotations while building lasting relationships with clients. This role offers both commercial and technical challenge, with scope to influence business growth.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Create detailed cost estimates in response to customer RFQs
* Analyse engineering drawings, BOMs, and specifications
* Accurately price machining time, administration, and subcontract processes
* Build rapport with customers to encourage repeat business and explore new opportunities
* Research and evaluate supplier and subcontractor pricing
* Manage and prioritise multiple quotations to meet deadlines
* Conduct contract reviews for accepted quotations
* Seek and incorporate feedback to improve future submissions
Skills & Experience:
* Proven ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings and documents
* Time-served background in CNC machining or a precision engineering environment
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills
* Methodical, detail-oriented approach to quotation and estimation processes
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general IT systems
* Positive, solutions-focused mind set with strong self-motivation
* Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure and to tight deadlines
